Dubai :  Souk Al Marfa at Deira Islands, the new waterfront souk and marketplace by Nakheel, is marking the UAE’s Golden Jubilee with a three-day, free-to-enter festival featuring an array of fun-filled activities from 2 to 4 December.

Celebrate the 50th National Day at Souk Al Marfa’s waterfront daily from 2 pm to 10 pm and indulge in a plethora of live activations during the long weekend.

 The festival will feature an exclusive motor show with 300 supercars on display, stage shows, roaming entertainment, DJ performances, competitions and shows for remote control car enthusiasts, as well as food trucks for everyone to enjoy. The weekend extravaganza will also host live cooking stations, traditional Arabian tents, live sketching and graphic illustrations and a thrift market by ‘Dude Just Dude’, a homegrown marketplace that supports up-and-coming businesses by exhibiting their products.

Promising to deliver something for everyone, the festival will also host a carpet exhibition and a souk wide sale featuring 50 per cent discounts on all groceries, household appliances and electronics.

More than 800 shops currently operate at Souk Al Marfa with another 300 set to open in the next month. Souk Al Marfa’s operating hours are 10 am to 10 pm Sunday to Wednesday, 2 pm to 12 midnight on Friday and 10 am to 12 midnight Thursday and Saturday.
