Six-cylinder, 300 horsepower engine perfect for larger and faster boats

Mercury Marine, the market leader in the marine industry and a member of Brunswick Corporation family, has announced that it has launched the 300 horsepower inline six-cylinder Verado outboard engine during the 2007 Dubai International Boat Show held recently at the Dubai International Marine Club. The release of the new supercharged engine comes as Mercury Marine consolidates its leadership position in the offshore saltwater and coastal bay markets by addressing the growing demand for larger and faster outboard-powered boats in the Middle East.

The six-cylinder Verado is equipped with performance-enhancing features such as the standard electro-hydraulic power steering and the SmartCraft technology, which has been developed by Mercury Marine to make boat operation safer, more reliable and uncomplicated. Some of the features of the SmartCraft technology are the SmartCraft Digital Throttle & Shift, which delivers an exceptionally smooth and responsive engineered driving experience, and the SmartCraft Engine Guardian System, which monitors engine functions and immediately alerts boat users of engine problems.
