Greater flexibility and speed for travellers departing from Dubai

Click, print and fly: from June 2nd onwards, Lufthansa passengers can print their boarding pass at home providing greater flexibility and time to spare before departing on their flights from Dubai.

Lufthansa German Airlines operates daily from Dubai to Frankfurt and six times a week from Dubai to Munich offering convenient onward flights to destinations in Europe and the US. From the choice of booking the flight and checking in online, passengers travelling with carry-on luggage can make their way directly to security control with the 'Home Printed Boarding Pass'.

The printed boarding card contains all the flight-relevant information: the name of the traveller, flight number as well as a 2D barcode for the purpose of authentification and right of access to the gate area. After checking in online at www.lufthansa.com, Lufthansa passengers can print out of the online boarding card for, up to 180 minutes prior to departure from Dubai. Passengers with luggage can drop their bags at specially marked counters until 60 minutes before the flight leaves.

The Lufthansa brand is synonymous with aviation expertise and acknowledged service standards. Most recently, Lufthansa has announced the introduction of a range of innovations such as the launch of a 'Mobile Boarding Pass', whereby the customer receives the boarding pass by simply sending an email or SMS. This service is available since April for flights between Hamburg and Munich or Frankfurt. Boarding via mobile phone will be available on most intra-German flights from summer 2008.
