Grosvenor House tipped to become city's premier lifestyle address

Dubai, 26 October 2004: Dubai's hotel sector will have its first "lifestyle address" in 2005 with the addition of Grosvenor House West Marina Beach, Dubai by Le Meridien, according to general manager Pam Wilby.

Wilby expects the location to be as synonymous with style as Rue Faubourg in Paris, Park Lane in London and Fifth Avenue in New York when the Grosvenor House apartments come on the market in mid-April 2005 .

The upcoming Dubai Marina has been earmarked by developers as 'the lifestyle hub of Dubai' and was the first residential project to be available to expatriates in Dubai.

She said: "We will be providing an "exclusive address; exclusive lifestyle" through our hotel and furnished butler-service apartments".

"This will be the new destination for Dubai - and it is an ideal location. The business centres of Dubai Internet City and Dubai Media City are opposite on one side, and the other side has the famed Jumeirah Beach strip.

"But it's not just about the proximity of bricks-and-mortar offices: this area is a microcosm of the creativity and business drive of a new generation. You just have to step into Dubai Media City and Dubai Internet City to understand that this is a new way of doing business, and there is a verve and vitality in the area that is refreshing."

The apartments will be available to lease from a week up to a year at a time, with the marketing team expecting that the location and brand promise will see the residential side of the building reaching waiting list-only status almost immediately.

She concluded: "This property will take on a personality of its own and we are confident that the local market will embrace Grosvenor House, Dubai."

The hotel will have 217 sea-facing rooms, while the 205 apartments will offer stunning marina views, and three of the signature touches will be plasma televisions in all rooms, personalised butler service and 24-hour room service, in addition to the use of beach and pool facilities at the adjacent resort.

The top 11 floors will be dedicated to the Grosvenor Club, premium executive accommodation whose guests will also have access to the 44th floor dedicated lounge that will provide an unrivalled observation deck over Dubai.
