Asatsu-DK (ADK), Japan's third largest agency network and ranked 9th in the world and AGA Advertising & Marketing, the region's fastest growing network have entered into a strategic partnership that would place the newly formed alliance AGA ADK among the top ten agencies in the MENA region.
In the Japanese advertising industry, ADK has always been a trendsetter and looked to overseas markets for opportunities to grow. And AGA presented the perfect opportunity, with its extensive regional network, for the group to tap into the lucrative and ever-expanding MENA market.
According to Mr. Osamu Ishikawa, Director, ADK Overseas Network Division, "AGA represented all the qualities of an ideal partner in MENA, an in depth understanding of the market, strategic insights, an extensive regional network, a mix of regional and multinational clients, a fantastic creative force, and of course a passion for great brand building."
The essence of the agreement would involve Asatsu-DK offering its Japanese multinational clients AGA's valuable insights into the MENA market and giving them direct access to the region's consumers.
An aggressive expansion plan for 2007 sees the establishment of more AGA ADK offices in North Africa and other core markets of the Middle East.
AGA would in turn call on ADK's advanced marketing and communications techniques and its wide array of global advertising and branding techniques to provide a fresh approach
to charting its clients' brand success. This alliance also opens up new markets such as Asia and Far East for AGA.
The alliance contains mutual benefits for both agency networks and complements each other's core strengths.
It allows both entities to work closely and share industry know-how to develop communication solutions, address their markets jointly and provide "total communication solutions" to their clients in MENA and the world.
Both networks see international alliances as playing a key role in helping them serve their clients more effectively.
The AGA ADK alliance works well on a cultural front too as it provides interesting insights into each other's cultures and bridges the gap between the Middle East, Europe and Far East.
On an economical level, it contributes to the development of the MENA economy by opening up markets to Japanese consumers and businesses.
Established in 1997, AGA is a full service, total communications network providing innovative and effective advertising & marketing solutions.
AGA boasts an enviable mix of regional and multinational clients and has offices across the Middle East in Abu Dhabi, Amman, Beirut, Dubai, Jeddah and Riyadh including an independent PR & Events arm called "PenCell."
In 1998 ADK formed a strategic alliance with the WPP group and continues to maintain a strong collaboration with the WPP group companies.
