EATON Corporation, a global leader in Low Voltage & Medium Voltage Power Distribution products, power quality, control and automation and monitoring products, signed on the 16th of May 2012 a Memorandum of Understanding with ITG (Holding) for cooperation related to the promotion of EATON Low Voltage systems and products in the territories of Lebanon and Iraq.
Mideast Power Systems (MPS), a subsidiary of ITG (Holding), has been appointed as EATON's Authorized Distributor for its Low Voltage IEC components in Lebanon. Low Voltage products includes: Electrical circuit breakers, power distribution type tested assemblies, contactors and motor starters, operator interface hardware, metering systems, power management software and surge protection devices.
A signing ceremony was attended by Mr. Frank Campbell, President-EATON Electrical Sector EMEA, Mr. Nizar Baloch, General Manager-EATON Middle East, Mr. Salim El-Khal, Sales Director-EATON Levant, Mr. Joseph Korkmaz, Sales Manager Lebanon-EATON, Mr. Claude J. Bahsali, Chairman & CEO-ITG, Mr. Samir Hamaoui, General Manager-MPS, Mr. Jacques Moumdjian, President-ITG Enterprise, and Mr. Ziad Zeidan. Business Development Manager-MPS.
Mr. Frank Campbell emphasized the vision of EATON to have a focus on Low Voltage and Medium Voltage Power Distribution Products in the Middle East, and specifically in Lebanon, with a partner like ITG, who has a strong presence in the power segment, through its affiliate MPS.
Mr. Claude J. Bahsali expressed his enthusiasm over the expansion of this partnership, which started back in 2007 with the distribution of EATON UPS Systems, and successfully grew over the last years. He stressed on the Lebanese market growing needs for quality power solutions, in the context of local challenges related to electricity generation, and on-going real estate developments in the country. The addition of EATON Low Voltage components to MPS' portfolio of products, will allow MPS to expand its offering to customers, contractors and consultants, with whom they already have excellent relationships.
