Dubai, UAE: October 13, 2010: Inmarsat, the leading Provider of global mobile satellite communications services today announced that it will be showcasing its new IsatPhone PRO at this year's GULFCOMMS exhibition. Inmarsat services will be demoed live at the Inmarsat stand in Zabeel Hall, stand Z-C25.

"GULFCOMMS provides the ideal platform for meeting with the telecommunications industry experts from across the region, and to debut the IsatPhone Pro in the region. The exhibition also allows us to display and demo our premium services live at our stand to trade visitors," said Helene Bazzi, Senior Area Manager, Inmarsat.

Inmarsat's first global handheld is ideal for Professionals in the government, media, aid, oil and gas, mining and construction sectors. It offers high-quality satellite telephony, text and email messaging, and with the capability of viewing and sending location data in a text message.

Also being demonstrated at GULFCOMMS will be Inmarsat's premium IP-based services, such as BGAN X-Stream that guarantees streaming data rates from a minimum of 384kbps to around 450kbps. It is the fastest on-demand streaming rate available in a mobile satellite service. The premium IP streaming service is accessible through existing terminals, without the need for external antenna or any additional hardware.
