Dubai: INJAZ UAE, a member of Junior Achievement (JA) Worldwide, the world’s largest non-profit business education organization, is hosting a career forum virtually today for youth based in the United Arab Emirates. Known as the UAE JAHEZ Career Forum, the forum aims to boost the employability skills of local youths and raise awareness of emerging and forward-looking roles within the job market. 

In a strategic partnership with UPS and in collaboration with prominent companies including Du, DP World, McKinsey and Company, Edelman, LinkedIn, SNAP and Microsoft for Startups, the panel discussions will explore thought-provoking topics from key industry leaders. The forum will kick-off with a special interview with Elissar Farah Antonios, Citi MENA Cluster Head & CEO in UAE, and Chairperson of INJAZ UAE. Following that, Du will share key insights on the importance of communications skills and how to leverage them, and DP World will educate participants with a skills enhancement session. 

McKinsey & Company will address the challenges and opportunities for youth in the MENA labour market, while Edelman Middle East will host a session about the importance of building and retaining corporate reputation. A series of digital sessions will follow where Maharat Min Google will share insights on new digital jobs and LinkedIn will provide tips on how to enhance your professional digital presence. UPS will educate youth on opportunities for Arab youth in logistics. 

Lastly, sessions focused on important career development skills will be hosted by SNAP to educate youth on active listening and interview skills as well as means to achieve personal and career growth. The forum will conclude with a session on how to develop an entrepreneurial mindset by Microsoft.
