Dubai: The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, Dubai Chapter, NPIO recently held its 37th Annual Conference in the City themed ‘Accelerating Millennium Strides’. The focus of this conference was on transforming businesses to adapt to technological advancements.  His Excellency Sheikh Nahayan Mabarak Al Nahayan, Hon’ble Cabinet Member and Minister of Tolerance, Government of UAE was the chief guest of the big event. His Excellency Shri Navdeep Suri Ambassador of India to UAE, His Excellency Shri Vipul The Consul General of India to Dubai, CA Prafulla P. Chhajed President, ICAI, and CA Atul Kumar Gupta Vice President, ICAI were the special guests of honour.

The Chief Guest, H.E. Sheikh Nahayan Mabarak Al Nahayan, graced the stage and spoke about how the UAE Government is at the forefront in using technology, focusing on evolving and sustaining Dubai as the most modern city. Veteran Indian Film Actor and Motivational Speaker, Mr Ashish Vidyarthi spoke extensively on Leadership Experience. The Line-up pf esteemed speakers consisted of Ms Anshula Kant, Managing Director, State Bank of India, Mr Anil Razdan IAS, Former Secretary Power, Government of India, Mr Hemal Shah, SVP and Regional CIO, Asia-Pacific, Dell Digital, CA P R Ramesh, Chairman, Deloitte India, Mr. Osman Sultan, CEO, Emirates Integrated Telecommunications Company (DU Telecom).

The conference also witnessed the presence of Padma Shri Awardee Resul Pookutty who won the Oscar Award for Best Sound Mixing and Padma Bhushan Awardee Abhinav Bindra, an Olympic Gold Medallist in shooting for India, both with very interesting and inspiring stories to share.

The 2 Day conference culminated with a pulsating musical extravaganza by one of the leading Indian singer-music composer duo, Sachin & Jigar, who enthralled the guests with some of their musical hits.
