The General Organisation of Social Insurance in Saudi Arabia (GOSI) announced it is planning to adopt the new version of Laserfiche document management system by the end of this year.
The General Organisation of Social Insurance in Saudi Arabia (GOSI) announced it is planning to adopt the new version of Laserfiche document management system by the end of this year.
The version 8 will witness a four-year relation between GOSI and the American company based in Long Beach, California, through their representatives in Saudi Arabia, Integrated Solutions for Business.
Since the installation of Laserfiche system, GOSI has experienced smooth operations, and according to Adel Al-Musallam, the document management system manager in GOSI, "The document management streamlines business processes, increases efficiency, ensures regulatory compliance, and assures prosperity."
"GOSI is the first Saudi organization to adopt such developed system in the country," Al-Musallam indicates. He added: "the system includes both scanning documents and archiving them in order to smoothen the daily work processing".
According to GOSI, the application has streamlined their internal operations entirely, as they used to wait for days, sometimes weeks, before they could get one operation done. Now we finish tens of them at the same day. "In order to serve millions of subscriptions each day, you need a fast and accurate system, hence you have to look for security, efficiency and flexibility; those are all met by using Laserfiche systems", a staff member said.
Laserfiche is implemented in all 21 branches with standard and one enterprise version for headquarter in Riyadh. Replication of images and date from all branches make GOSI centralize at the end of the day to HQ for Backup and disaster Recovery, GOSI ERP Plus workflow System is fully integrated with Laserfiche through Web Service.
In archiving, Laserfiche provides document scanning, barcode reorganization and creation of briefcase file to send to HQ at the end of each day.
Over a month ago, some of the end-users and potential customers of Laserfiche were presented a preview of the American company's next major release, Laserfiche version 8.
A Cairo summit under the title of "Straight Through Prospering", and organized by Laserfiche and their alliance in the region BMB, gathered over 150 executives from the MENA region to share their vision and get a peek preview at the new version of the electronic document management system.
