· Fujitsu's move to help realise Qatar's National Vision 2030 initiative of as a sustainable, environmentally responsible and efficient country

Fujitsu today announced it would be extending its global reach by opening new offices in Qatar. Building on more than 15 years of commitment to the Qatari market, and a double-digit growth rate for the past five years, the inauguration is the natural next step for the leading global provider of information technology and services, which operates in offices across the Middle East.

The new office, will be instrumental in launching innovative products and services into the Qatari market, catering to the growing client base within the country.

Fujitsu has seen a huge demand for their IT infrastructure and ERP application services within the country, and combined with Qatar's far-reaching urbanisation plans, prominent clients such as Qatar Petroleum, Oryx GTI, Nakilat, Qatari Diar and Hassad Food will benefit from Fujitsu's commitment to servicing the region with the new office.

Fujitsu Middle East's VP and Managing Director, Farid Al-Sabbagh, said: "We have long-term plans for Qatar. Our office in Doha will have highly skilled professionals to ensure the best service for our clients."

Smart city plans, which include smart security and surveillance, environmental management, and disaster management solutions, are integral to the development of Qatar as a modern, forward-thinking country which is experiencing fast-rate urbanisation.

Mr. Al-Sabbagh added: "Our success in Qatar comes from our customers' interest in making their operations efficient and safer, whilst deriving cost benefits out of existing infrastructure. Every quarter we add new clients and see a growing demand for our solutions."

"The harnessing of big data, developing the necessary ICT infrastructure and the urbanisation boom, means our services are in high demand, to the point where we see double digit growth for our company in Qatar for years to come," concluded Mr Al-Sabbagh.
