New 152-room Hotel is Located in Zurich
Dubai - Marriott International, Inc. (NYSE:MAR) has opened a Courtyard hotel in Zurich, Switzerland, under a franchise agreement with SV Group, the largest contract catering company in Switzerland. The 152-room Courtyard by Marriott Zurich Nord is the first Courtyard by Marriott property to open in the country.
The Courtyard by Marriott Zurich Nord is part of a mixed-use development project in Oerlikon, a suburb of Zurich. Once a vast industrial area, the complex is one of the largest suburban redevelopment projects in the northern part of Zurich. The hotel is conveniently located approximately four kilometers from Zurich International Airport and four kilometers from the city center.
The General Manager is Stefano Alborghetti. The hotel is currently offering a special opening corporate rate of 279.00 CHF per night plus tax and a weekend rate of 159.00 CHF.

For dining and recreation, the Courtyard by Marriott Hotel Zurich Nord offers Max Restaurant Bar & Lounge, serving three meals daily with international specialties and a great wine selection, and a lobby bar with a "Grab & Go" kiosk. For meeting and social events, the hotel has seven meeting rooms offering over 500-square meters of total meeting space. The Courtyard by Marriott Zurich Nord offers wireless LAN and high speed Internet access in all rooms and public areas. A well equipped fitness center is also available.
Courtyard by Marriott hotels are aimed at business and leisure travelers who seek accommodations offering consistent quality. Its spacious guest rooms are generally larger than the accommodations offered by other hotels in its segment and feature a comfortable sitting area, large work desk, and two telephones with data ports.
Marriott International is currently represented in Switzerland by two hotels: the Zurich Marriott Hotel and the Renaissance Zurich Hotel in the upscale deluxe tier.
