Dubai, UAE September 9, 2009: In a bid to meet the growing demands for thermal broken systems in the region, Emirates Extrusions Factory (EEF), a subsidiary of M'Sharie LLC, the private equity arm of Dubai Investments PJSC, has recently launched a new thermal break production line which aims to improve efficiency, increase production and productivity of thermal broken profiles. In line with its deep commitment towards reinforcing the highest standards of quality, EEF is already an ISO 9001:2000 certified company.
This new thermal break production line, purchased from ALURO, a well known Belgian company, comprises of two knurling machines - one strip feeding machine, one rolling machine and one testing machine. The line is also equipped with an automatic CNC control to minimize the setup time.
"With the new installed line, the production is expected to double from 100 MT per month to 200 MT per month. This will put EEF in a good position to satisfy the increasing regional demand for thermal broken systems," said Khalfan Al Suwaidi, Managing Director, Emirates Extrusions Factory. "EEF currently caters to 35 per cent of the construction industry's volume for thermal broken profiles, locally as well as across the GCC and African countries."
A thermal break system is an assembly of two profiles separated by a low thermal conductivity polyamide strip that reduces the flow of thermal energy between the two profiles. This break minimizes heat transfer between the interior and exterior of the doors and windows, which improves the energy efficiency better than traditional systems.
"Keeping in mind the growing demand for energy-saving building elements, both in the private and public sectors, and rising environmental concerns, the UAE central government has issued various directives to regulate and implement usage of environmentally friendly building materials and to cut energy consumption for cooling and heating purposes. Use of thermal broken systems is in line with such green initiatives," Al Suwaidi added.
On the basis of its customer feedback, Emirates Extrusions Factory, which already provides a wide range of thermal broken profiles suitable for many applications, has also recently designed a system called "FLEXIBLE" that is easy to fabricate, reliable and extremely economical. This system is compatible with all the accessories that are currently available in the market.
Emirates Extrusions Factory offers an impressive range of premium-quality, energy-efficient extruded aluminum profiles as part of its continuing strategy to consolidate its presence in the global market. The company's offerings include windows and doors, curtain wall, structural glazing, partition system, grill and hand rail systems.
