This week five faculty members from Dubai Men's College have been certified as trainers in Cinema 4D.  The training was a follow up from a visit by the CEO of Maxon GmbH to Dubai Men's College in the fourth quarter of 2007.  Since then, the two have signed a partnership agreement making Dubai Men's College the first official regional training centre for Maxon's unique 3D visualization and animation software.

Cinema 4D is the four-time winner of "Best 3D Software" Mac User award.  It was used in the film & animation industries to make well known motion pictures such as Spiderman 3, King Arthur, Superman Returns, Surf's Up and Open Season.  Engineering companies such as Siemens, BMW and Rolls Royce also use Cinema 4D for design.  Other industries that use the software include: architecture, engineering design, print, graphic design and scientific research.

Dubai Men's College expects to begin training sessions for the public starting in February.  Specific focus will be given to the broadcast, architecture, motion graphics and engineering companies in the region to help them better realize their goals using 3D visualizations.

After signing the agreement, Mr. Herald Egal, CEO of MAXON said, "It is a great pleasure to see the Dubai Men's College and MAXON concluding this agreement.  We are looking forward to a successful long-term partnership in the educational sector in your country."  Commenting on the closure of partnership agreement, Dr. Philip Hicks, director of Dubai Men's College said, "It is an important milestone for the college.  Visualization is currently being used in a growing number of industries in the region.  With this partnership and the skills we are developing, Dubai Men's College and the Higher Colleges of Technology are well positioned in offering visualization and virtual reality services.
