Dubai Maritime City is to be the sole sponsor for Explorer Publishing's Dubai Boating Guide, which is due for release in October 2008. With predictions that Dubai's boat registration is set to rise significantly in the next five years, the next logical step was to devise a guide that covers all aspects of boating and sailing in the region.
Faisal Al Jassim, Assistant Manager - Marketing, Dubai Maritime City comments: "We are delighted to be supporting Explorer Publishing's Dubai Boating Guide to increase awareness and educate those with an interest in all things maritime. Dubai Maritime City will play a key role in the regional and international maritime industry and for us, providing in-depth information that is user-friendly and useful for everyone is essential."
Al Jassim also added: "As the official maritime authority of the Emirate of Dubai, it only seemed natural that we support Dubai Boating, which will be a valuable source of information for all boat owners and fans."
Alistair Mackenzie, Publisher, Explorer Publishing comments: "The unity between Explorer Publishing and Dubai Maritime City is a great reflection of what we are trying to achieve; we are meeting the demands of the rapid development of the boating industry in Dubai."
Dubai Boating provides in-depth information on all aspects of boating and sailing in Dubai. It covers everything from buying a boat to finding a marina to moor it, plus all the regulations and paperwork involved. The book also features a comprehensive section on where to sail, marinas, future developments, maintenance, yacht clubs plus boating-related activities, maps, and a directory.
Dubai Maritime City incorporates a full range of industrial, commercial, residential and leisure facilities distributed in six distinct districts: Harbour Offices, Harbour Residences, Maritime Centre, Dubai Maritime City Campus, Marina District, and the Industrial Precinct managed by Drydocks World - Dubai. Upon completion, the city will feature over 1,000 berths for boats and yachts located in its Harbour Marina and Maritime Centre Marina areas.
Explorer Publishing was founded in Dubai in 1995, and has rapidly expanded its portfolio of Residents' Guides, Mini Guides, Mini Maps, Maps & Atlases, Lifestyle Guides and Photography books, covering the Middle East, Asia Pacific, Europe, North America, Africa and beyond.
