The Dubai Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM) organized a graduation ceremony for the first batch of the Adaat e-Diploma it conducted for its employees in cooperation with the Dubai eGovernment. 

A total of 21 employees were presented with certificates at the ceremony held at the Sheraton Creek Hotel on Thursday (February 15).

The DTCM Director General, Mr. Khalid A bin Sulayem, Director of e-Services at Dubai eGovernment, Mr. Salem Al Shair, and DTCM Manager Human Resources and Training, Mr. Ibrahim Yaqoot, graced the occasion.

Mr. bin Sulayem congratulated the employees for completing the diploma. Based on ADAAT (Arabic for behaviour) traditions, the diploma programme will support the employees in their understanding of the department's visions and goals. He appreciated the Dubai e-Government for helping the DTCM to fulfill its goals of training employees and upgrading their skills.  

Mr. Al Shair  said: "The eDiploma course is proving to be extremely popular among the DTCM employees, as we have witnessed a high level of enthusiasm and interest about the initiative."

He said "Dubai eGovernment is focused on enhancing the knowledge and skills of employees and customers through the use of technology and the internet, as good communication is essential to good interaction and good governance. I look forward to our qualified team setting new benchmarks in customer service."  

Mr. Ibrahim Yaqoot said: "The nine-month diploma programme has been delivered through a blended training. The training course has been specially designed to enhance inter-departmental communication and cultivate values of respect, teamwork, communication, customer-orientation, employees focus, innovation and commitment to quality among the DTCM employees."

Based on ADAAT (Arabic for behaviour) traditions, the diploma course will support the employees in their understanding of the department's visions and goals and help them achieve new heights of accomplishments. Organization ethics, office protocol, teamwork fundamentals, team communication, resolving conflict in teams, decision-making in teams, customer service and communication with seniors makes up the content of the courses.
