Dubai, The Dubai Courts Department (DCD), in line with its constant efforts to satisfy staff and customers, has introduced the "Document Security System" (DSS), an innovative document tracking system, which aims to track original documents and create visibility of their movement and circulation using RFID technology.

Visitors to the DCD's stand no. S2-S3/A21, Sheikh Saeed Hall 3, at the 35th edition of GITEX Technology Week, which runs from 18-22 October in Dubai World Trade Centre, are briefed on the new DSS and its main features and benefits.

The newly-implemented DSS provides the ability to accurately and efficiently control, manage and track documents, which saves time and money, reduces stress, and increases professionalism. RFID labels are placed on files and paperwork, and the relevant readers in the DCD can read them and successfully locate files within minutes.

The DSS is a safe tool, as it alerts the concerned employee in the event of a document is illegally taken out of the archive. It further helps retrieve documents much faster than manual search by using portable RFID scanner, return them to their proper location, and immediately detect any error that might occur in this regard.

H.E. Tarish Eid Al Mansouri, Director-General of DCD, assured that DCD is  paying extreme attention to realize the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, by seeking customer satisfaction and offering all services through smart devices so that transactions can be completed anytime, anywhere.

"The DCD Smart Application is the world's first-of-its-kind judicial-based smart app in both government and private sectors. It has been awarded the 'Smart Government Shield Award' at the UAE level category of the 6th Smart Government Competition held in Kuwait. Such extraordinary recognition also sought to recognize DCD's continued commitment and support for Dubai's transition to a smart government, which is ably reflected in its aim to provide reliable smart services to its customers and save the time and effort needed to complete transactions." The Director-General noted.
