Dr. Emerson Gonzales Cabudol, Project Management Professor and Community Engagement Head, of AMA International University - Bahrain, chaired one of the sessions during the 5th International Conference on Project Management (ProMac) in Makuhari Messe and Tokyo Disney Resort, Japan on October 12-15, 2010.
ProMac is an every two-year conference promoted through The Society of Project Management (SPM). This conference addresses the complexity, comprehensiveness and the expanding of target areas and scopes of project management worldwide. The SPM, the major sponsor of the conference fosters academic and practical studies which adheres to free, fair and open principles which actively promotes knowledge sharing across nations, industries, companies, universities and government offices.
There were 38 session topics plus 1 sponsor's session. These were on Government, Social, and Economic Transformation; Development of PM Training and Education; New Challenges of Projects and Organizations; International Collaborations in PM; PM Knowledge Areas; Business and Industry Application Areas; Personal PM; Envisioning the Future; General PM; Agile PM; and Knowledge Management.
Keynote speakers were globally recognized individuals from top project management and development and academic sectors.
Dr. Cabudol was invited by SPM to chair the Session 4 which is on Government, Social, and Economic Transformation. There were fours presenters coming from 2 NTT Data Customer Service Corporation, Hiroshima Shudo University, and Hitachi Government and Public Corporation System Engineering, Ltd.).
AMAIUB participation to the 5th International Conference on Project Management will surely bring benefit to the University in its vision of upholding its academic standards of graduate education. More conferences and peer-review research conferences are scheduled to be attended by faculty members this year and in the future as part of the University's comprehensive faculty development plan.
The 6th ProMac will be held in Singapore in 2012.
