Alpen Capital, Oman along with its associate, Sarasin-Alpen LLC, Oman pledged their support to the Social Development Committee of Wilyat of Mutrah. Rohit Walia, Executive Vice Chairman and CEO of Alpen Capital and Sarasin-Alpen Group along with Atul Rao, Senior Executive Officer, Sarasin Alpen LLC in Oman presented a cheque of OMR 4000 to H.E. Sheikh Yahya bin Nasser Al Harasi, Wali Al Mutrah & President of the Social Development Committee to support the committee's projects. The amount will be used to help achieve an improved lifestyle for the needy and to reduce their hardships.

The Social Development Committee for the Wilayat of Mutrah under the leadership of H.E. Wali of Mutrah gives great importance to housing projects, social development and the welfare of low income people. The committee sponsors charity work, provides care to the handicapped and works towards providing training and partial scholarships. The Committee is also now preparing for phase three of its housing project, which consists of building and completing maintenance works for a number of houses, that will cost a total of RO 555,900/-.
