The Kuwait office of Al Tamimi & Company, the largest independent law firm in the Middle East, held a seminar on Pre-Dispute and Dispute Resolution Strategies at the Courtyard Marriott Al Raya, The seminar was held on 15 April 2013 and drew a crowd of executives and legal consultants from Kuwaiti and foreign based companies.
The topics of the seminar included pre-litigation strategy, Kuwait litigation strategy and a discussion on international and local arbitration. Partner and Head of the Kuwait Office, Alex Saleh, led off the seminar with a discussion on pre-litigation strategies. Following Mr. Saleh was Al Tamimi's Senior Litigation Associate, Mr. Ossama Ghazy, who gave an Arabic presentation on Kuwait specific litigation strategies. Wrapping up the seminar, and further highlighting the regional capabilities of Al Tamimi & Co, was Mr. Paul Turner; Dubai based Regional Head of Arbitration for Al Tamimi, who thoroughly discussed basic principles and characteristics of arbitration, as well as the pros and cons of this method of dispute resolution. The seminar ended with an interactive questions & and answers session, followed by a reception.
