E-Greetings Booth set up at the mall to celebrate Accession Day

Dubai, 03 August 2004 - Challenging events that test a person's endurance capabilities and physical prowess have been attracting large numbers of families and children to BurJuman Centre during the on-going DSS "Adventure Surprises" week.

Organised by Dubai Police, the "Adventure Surprises" week at BurJuman include the "Climbing Wall - Cliffhanger event", one of the fastest spreading sports among youth in the UAE, while Thai Kickboxing and Archery were other attractions at the mall.

Meanwhile, Dubai Men's College have come up with a unique way to celebrate the 38th Accession Day of The President, His Highness, Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan. A special booth manned by students from Dubai Men's College allows visitors to the mall to send their personal greetings and messages of congratulations on the occasion of Accession Day.

The various events at BurJuman are aimed at entertaining families and to provide inspiration for children to stretch their imagination and test their endurance levels. Some events also help teach and enforce discipline and the competitive spirit among youngsters.

Three different workshops - Clay Sculpture, Pencil Cardholder and Wood Assembling -have created tremendous interest among children visiting BurJuman. The  workshops have been designed in a way to help improve the artistic and intellectual skills of children.

Children have also been presented with an abundance of activities at BurJuman  including the Modhesh Fun Games, Adventure Fun Games and the Jumping Castle.

For each DSS "Surprise" week, BurJuman has been a hub of activities, offering something special to UAE residents and visitors with the overall theme at the mall throughout the summer extravaganza being expressed through a unique dcor featuring the weekly 'surprise' element.

BurJuman is also offering shoppers spending Dhs. 200 at the mall the chance to win prizes up to Dhs. 2 million including a dream home at the world-class Jumeirah Beach Residence plus a total of 10 Mitsubishi Pajeros, and more  under the DSS promotion being run by the Dubai Shopping Malls Group.

Dubai Summer Surprises 2004 is currently in the Adventure Surprises week organized by Dubai Police from July 29-August 4, followed by Knowledge Surprises by Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry from August 5-11, Back-2-School Surprises by the Department of Economic Development from August 12-18 and ends with the Colour. Surprises by the Department of Health and Medical Sciences from August 19-27, 2004.
