UAE - Dubai, 4th October 2011: The Middle East Retail Banking 2011 conference honoured His Excellency Abdul Aziz Al Ghurair, CEO of Mashreq, with The MEED Leadership Award in Banking.

The accolade was presented at the two - day conference, a widely recognized event on the region's financial calendar. Industry leaders and the sector's upper echelons gathered to share insights into the challenges facing the industry, as well as new approaches tackling those issues.

During his one-on-one interview with Edmund O'Sullivan, Chairman of MEED Events, H.E. Abdul Aziz Al Ghurair hinted at some of the innovations driving the future of Mashreq. Al Ghurair added that customers have always been a priority for the bank now more than ever, they are at its core. To demonstrate this enduring commitment, Mashreq recently launched Mashreq Majestic, an industry-first set of bundled solutions tailor-made to customer banking requirements.
