Riyadh – Etihad Etisalat Company (Mobily) has named Abdulkarim Ibrahim Al Nafie as the Chairman of the board, according to a bourse disclosure.

Al Nafie succeeded Nabeel Mohamed Al Amudi, who discontinued his chairmanship due to personal reasons. Meanwhile, Al Amudi will remain an independent board member.

The new Chairman assumed his new role for the current board term that started on 20 April 2023 until 30 November 2024.

It is worth noting that the company’s board members approved the appointment during their meeting that was held on 20 April.

Last year, Mobily generated net profits after Zakat and tax worth SAR 1.65 billion, higher by 54.57% than SAR 1.07 billion in January-December 2021.

Revenues increased by 5.63% to SAR 15.66 billion in 2022 from SAR 14.83 billion a year earlier, while the earnings per share (EPS) jumped to SAR 2.15 from SAR 1.39.
