Mubasher: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) started Tuesday's trading session in the green, backed by the growth of three of its sectors.

By 10:15 am Qatar time, the general index inched up 0.05% or 5.06 points to 9,894.68 points.

Turnover amounted to QAR 20.65 million after 727,020 shares were traded through 505 transactions.

The industrial sector topped the QSE's risers adding 0.73% as Qatari Investors Company grew 1.94%.

Meanwhile, the banking sector headed the bourse's four decliners falling 0.24% after Qatar International Islamic Bank (QIIB) and Qatar National Bank (QNB) retreated 0.86% and 0.29%, respectively.

Industries Qatar's stock, which rose 1.02%, led the QSE in terms of turnover with QAR 3.5 million, while Mazaya Qatar Real Estate Development's stock, which advanced 0.86%, spearheaded the market in terms of trading volume with 259,200 shares.
