The world's longest zipline in UAE's Ras Al Khaimah has announced that it will 're-open as soon as the necessary maintenance has been completed after the tragic helicopter crash last year in December.
According to a statement issued earlier by the developers, Toroverde, all zipline flights have been cancelled until further notice due to a 'very serious incident' on the mountain. Jebel Jais Mountain Park and access road have been closed until further notice, in order to give the emergency services the access they need.
Four crew members lost their livesafter their rescue helicopter crashed into Jebel Jais. It hit the zipline before crashing and bursting into flames.
The company issued another statement on Sunday, apprising 'adventurists' on a possible re-opening date:
