KHARTOUM - Sudan's inflation decreased in September, the country's statistics agency said on Thursday, falling to 365.82% from 387.56% a month prior.
According to government data, inflation rose in eight of Sudan's eighteen states, with Gadaref state once again recording the highest rate at 815.82%.
Core inflation, which strips out volatile items such as food, dropped to 515.46% in September from 541.06% in August.
Sudan is in the midst of a deep economic crisis, with low reserves often creating shortages of fuel, bread, and essential medicines.
