TUNIS - Results of the elections in the constituencies abroad will not be announced before the national results, Mr. Ridha Torkhani, member of the Independent Higher Authority for Elections (IHAE) in charge of the Expatriates' Commission told TAP news agency.
Expatriates election results reach IHAE starting from Sunday (7 p.m.) via a secure web site.
The turn-out of Tunisian expatriates should range between 50 and 60%, he said, "a rate far above the world average ranging generally between 10% and 15%."
No major exceedances were recorded so far, he also said, underlining that if the authority receives reports on irregularities, it will enforce the law to take a decision on this matter.
"This could lead to the cancellation of the offending candidate list, even if it is the winner," he said.
