JAKARTA - Indonesia's economy may contract at a steeper pace in the third quarter than the government's forecast range of 0% to -2.1% due to new coronavirus containment measures in Jakarta, Finance Minister Sri Mulyani Indrawati said on Tuesday.

The minister also said the full-year 2020 outlook for gross domestic product looked more likely to be closer to the floor of the government's forecast range of 1.1% contraction to 0.2% growth.

Jakarta began reimposing movement curbs to contain the coronavirus outbreak on Monday.
