Abbas Salary, the head of cooperative chamber in Hurmozoghan Province, said on the sidelines of the second meeting of cooperative chambers in the area 5 in Iran that it is for the first time that a meeting has been convened to concentrate on trade ties with Oman.

He added that the needs of the markets in the Sultanate for Iranian goods are suitable.

The Iranian official noted that the Sultanate is considered as a bridge to reach other markets in the world, by which overall expenses could be reduced.

Emad al Shakelee, Director of General Authority for Investment Promotion, said the Sultanate has laid down plans in various fields to promote ties with Iran, and the Sultanate is capable of expanding cooperation with Iranian traders in different aspects.

Al Shakelee requested setting up a tourist ship service between Omani ports and Hurmozoghan, and hoped to see the inauguration of a special Iranian exhibition for introducing various goods in the Sultanate.

He talked about the opening of a permanent market for Iranian goods in Barka in the Sultanate in 2017, and added that all Iranian traders and businessmen should bear in mind that the Sultanate is their second home because all possible facilities for them have been provided.

Moreover, Al Shakelee promised the Sultanate’s full cooperation in companies’ registration by avoiding registration costs and taxes in the first five years. He admitted that his country’s goal is to encourage Iranian traders and businessmen to choose the Sultanate as the best location for their trade and economic activities.
