TUNIS - "Emirates SkyCargo has carried in the first five months of 2011 over 770 tonnes of various goods, particularly car spare parts, from Tunis to Tokyo, Shanghai and Germany," said Director of the Emirati Company in Tunisia Ouassim Khrouf.

The company announces in a communiqué that it has also transported aboard two specially rented "Boeing 747-400," Tunisian exports to Congo-Brazzaville #hotel facilities# and to Dubai and the United States #fruit, vegetables and fresh fish#.

According to Mr. Khrouf "Emirates SkyCargo is today connecting Tunisia with markets in the Middle East and the Far East."

Regarding business, "it allows access to all prosperous markets including China, India, East Africa and recently Iraq."

The total cargo capacity on the current passenger flights of Emirates Airline serving Tunis and Dubai is 50 tonnes, at the rate of four flights a week #the 4th weekly flight has been operational as of last May 1#.

Emirates SkyCargo also contributes to the importation of various goods to Tunisia, such as electronic tools from China and South Korea, car spare parts from Japan, textile products and chemicals from Europe and Asia, and equipment used in oil drilling and refining from Houston, England and Abu Dhabi.
