Dubai Former Pakistan captain Younus Khan is reported to have assaulted a fan during a match on Thursday night in Karachi.
According to reporters from Pakistan, who arrived here for the WorldCall T-20 Challenge series between England and Pakistan, Khan is believed to have lost his cool after an admirer tried to get too close to him.
Following the incident Khan had to leave the ground midway through the match. Khan was captaining Malir Gymkhana against Al Noor Gymkhana in the Karachi Champions League at the newly renovated Korangi stadium here.
Former Pakistan wicketkeeper Rashid Latif is the chief organiser of the event.
It all began when people pushed their way to meet Khan, who was fielding at the boundary line.
Following the rush to get close to Khan, the security officials advised him to field at slips. Khan immediately left towards the dressing room but on the way back a fan approached him and he lost his cool.
