A senior Pakistani lawmaker and former Interior Minister on Wednesday said that western strategy to pressurize Iran has been failed as the country is developing at a fast pace in all sectors.
Talking to IRNA, the head of Pakistan Peoples Party-Sherpao Group and Member of Parliament, Aftab Ahmad Khan Sherpao, said that decision of Canada to end diplomatic relations with Iran would have negative impact on the North American state.
"This decision is taken under the American and Zionist influence to build pressure on Iran," the Parliamentarian said.
He was of the view that the people of Canada would not support such a move.
"Canada has taken this decision to please America," he added.
Aftab Ahmad Khan Sherpao also opined that the sanctions imposed against Iran have proved to be counter-productive.
He hailed the statement of Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamene'ie that Iran will not relinquish its peaceful nuclear right said that Iran is a brave nation and has stood up firmly against western plots.
'I stress that the Islamic Republic has never been after nuclear weapons and that it will never give up the right of its people to use nuclear energy for peaceful purposes," said the Supreme Leader in his address to Non Aligned Movement (NAM) summit.
Aftab Ahmad Khan Sherpao said that that Iran cannot be pressurized over its right to peaceful nuclear technology.
The political leader praised steadfastness of the people and government of Iran. Former minister was confident that conspiracies against Iran will fail.
The political leader expressing his opinion said that aggressive approach of Obama is damaging his political carrier.
