KUWAIT, Dec 3 (KUNA) -- Wataniya Telecom launched Sunday a new W-net service, which enables its subscribers to access internet almost anywhere in Kuwait or abroad via the hi-speed wireless Router WiFi.
Wataniya General Manager and CEO, Harri Koponen, in a press conference today said that the new service would enable subscribers to surf the internet via Digital Subscriber Lines (DSL) with connection speed that exceeded 512 kilobytes per seconds (kbps).
Technical Director Franco Ricotta said that the company formed a sales team specialized for this service. The team, he explained, would connect any willing subscriber with the W-net router within 90 minutes.
Wataniya was established in December 1999 in Kuwait as a specialized mobile telecommunications company. It provides services to about 8.8 million subscribers in several countries and pursues further expansion in the Middle Eats and Asia.
