DOHA: Vodafone Qatar yesterday joined the global launch of the Samsung S8530 Wave II, the newest smartphone that comes with an open-source Bada platform which has drawn more users worldwide because of its features of instant connectivity to friends, family and colleagues any time. The launch of the new model coincides with the global launch of three new smartphones in the Samsung Wave family; the Samsung Wave II (Model: S8530), Samsung Wave723 (Model: S7233) and Samsung Wave525 (Model: S5253).
Bada technology offers endless possibilities for Samsung mobile phone users. The name 'Bada', which means 'Ocean' in Korean, was chosen to convey the limitless variety of potential applications which can be created using the new platform.
"The new Samsung Wave II is testament to Vodafone's commitment to offer a world of difference to our customers and a smartphone for every lifestyle," said Daniel Horan, Head of the Consumer Business Unit at Vodafone.
