DOHA: Victoria's Secret has ventured into the Qatari market with the opening of its first store at the Landmark Mall.
With three stores in Dubai, three in Kuwait, one just opened here and one opening next week in Saudi Arabia, Victoria's Secret is set to conquer the Middle East.
"Amazing! So far, so good!" Ema Negara, Operation Manager of Victoria's Secret told The Peninsula while talking about Victoria's Secret success in the Middle East.
The shop in Doha has nothing to envy to those in the United States as the Qatari one is richer in products having accessories lines and beauty products that are not available in the US stores.
"We have a penetration of 60 percent in beauty products as cosmetics, body lotion, perfumes, and the rest are accessories and underwear," said Negara.
Victoria's Secret has also introduced a T-shirt "Victoria's Secret loves Qatar" only for the Qatari market. The pink and black storefront at Landmark Mall shines enough not to care of its close competitors Intimissimi and Yamamay which have their shops just around the corner in Landmark.
The first-line products are the Victoria's Secret Bombshell fragrance which is Victoria's Secret signature along with "Sexy Little Thing" original collection which at the moment is the No.1 seller in the UAE with "Vixen" and "Tease" perfumes.
The perfumes are priced at QR240 and QR300 per 50ml, while the underwear collection is cheaper with colourful underwear for QR50. In both cases, the key word is "feminine". Very much a woman.
