By Introducing new Unstructured Supplementary Service Data (USSD) messaging features for the first time ever-in Jordan, Umniah is solidifying its position as a facilitator of communication tools suitable for all market strata. The Company is now granting its prepaid subscribers the opportunity to send USSD based text messages to their relatives, friends, and work associates while traveling.
This service is offered at the competitive fee of 10 piaster's. Adding a new edge to this fitting feature, Umniah is also offering prepaid users the option of requesting credits from friends or relatives at home, should they run out, while abroad.
This last service is offered free of charge. "The competitive edge that this service comes with is cost effectiveness, as rates for USSD based messaging are relatively low," explained Umniah's Marketing & Customer Advocacy director, Omar Omoush.
