Tunisia, Dec. 6th., 2006 (WAM) - The United Arab Emirates represents the best and most successful model for Arab unity, remarked Tunisia's Al Mulahez daily newspaper.

"The credit of this huge achievement goes to the Late Founding Father Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan", added the paper.

In an article entitled "The year of the Emirates in Tunisia", Editor-in-Chief of the paper Abu Baker Al Sagheer said "All people in Carthage, Qairawan, Zaitouna and Jame'a Al Abideen would like to greet the Pearl of the Gulf (UAE) which stunned the world with an unprecedented quantum leap withing a record short period of time." The paper paid a special tribute to the "The Late Sheikh Zayed (who) had a special status not only in the UAE but also across the Arab World".

The paper added it is yet another happy coincidence in history that the UAE also witnessed the birth of another unity experience with the Gulf Cooperation Council in 1981 Abu Dhabi.
