Dar es Salaam, Aug. 13, 2009 (WAM) -- The UAE Embassy here in Dar es Salaam has distributed a large quantity of dates being offered annually by the UAE Red Crescent Authority for distribution during the holy month of Ramadan.
The embassy has started distributing the dates to Muslim communities in various Tanzanian towns, including Dar es Salaam, Morogoro, Arusha, Dodoma, Mwanza, Mtwara, Kigoma, Zanzibar and other Tanzanian islands for their consumption during the holy month of Ramadan. The beneficiaries expressed deep appreciation on receiving the dates as a gift from the UAE.
