Abdulla Al Mazrooei carries out final QC checks on the A380 Door Trainer at Spatial's factory in Ras Al Khaimah.
Spatial Composite Solutions, the RAKIA based supplier of training equipment for cabin crew, has manufactured the first A380 Door Training device to be built outside Europe. The unit, which was manufactured under license from Airbus Industries in Toulouse, was constructed using advanced composite materials reinforced with carbon fiber. The device is equipped with fire, smoke and water visual simulations and a computerised Instructors Operating Station which allows the trainer to operate via touch screen computer or portable tablet IOS (I-pad).
Spatial is equipped with advanced 3D design and engineering capability including a 5 axis CNC which enables the company to manufacture precision parts and components to aerospace tolerances. The company has completed installations for some of the world's major airlines including Emirates, flydubai, Etihad, Air Arabia, Virgin America in San Francisco and CAE in Singapore.
"We believe the A380 Door Trainer to be one of the most sophisticated Airbus training devices in the world which was built in its entirety at our manufacturing facility here in the Emirates. Downloading the design data from Airbus was a seamless operation - very straight forward and simple to control. We are proud to display the simulator on our booth at the forthcoming Dubai Airshow next week" said Joseph McKeever, Spatial's C.E.O.
