Berlin, Mar. 17, 2006 (WAM) -- Two UAE plastic artists will participatein the drawing of the Germany 2006 World Cup mascot. Mohammed Al Mendiand Obeid Surour are among the over 130 artists from various parts ofthe world, who will join hands and put their skills into action in drawingthe mascot that will go round the world to promote the Mundial in Germany.
Each artist would draw on the bear mascot an art work that symboliseshis environment. In this regard, Al Mendi would be painting the nationalflags of the UAE and Germany to reflect the unique joint cooperation betweenthe two friendly countries, while Surour would be painting UAE environment,manifested in the country's major cities.
The two UAE artists said their participation in this great eventis on the request of the UAE Ambassador in Germany, Mohammed Ahmed AlMahmoud, who is committed to ensuring UAE presence in every internationalevent, including the country's active participation in the Germany 2006World Cup.
