ISTANBUL - Turkish Airlines announced Monday it will switch all its operations from Ataturk Airport to the new Istanbul Airport starting from April 6.
 
At full capacity, Istanbul Airport will become a global aviation hub by hosting more than 100 airlines and flights to over 300 destinations around the world.
 
Last October, Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan opened the new Istanbul airport. It covers an area of about 76.5 million square metres.
