Mr. Mohamed Nouri Jouini, Minister of Development and International Cooperation, Mr. Othman Ben Arfa, President and Director General of the Tunisian Company of Electricity and Gas and Mr. Bobby Pittman, Vice-Chairman of the African Development Bank in charge of infrastructure and the private sector and regional integration signed on Tuesday the loan agreement to support electricity networks distribution in Tunisia.

The estimated cost of the project is 112 MD. The African Development Bank contributes with 90MD.

This loan which represents an aspect of cooperation between Tunisia and the African Development Bank is the eighth loan granted by the bank for financing electricity sector in Tunisia.

The electricity networks distribution aims to raising the level of cooperation, improving quality service and strengthening the infrastructure of the company.
