Amman, Nov. 20 (Petra)

Jordan's trade deficit shrunk by 10 per cent in the first nine months of 2016 despite a 4-per cent drop in the nation's total exports which amounted to JOD3.9 billion, according to data released by the Department of Statistics.

The decline in the trade deficit was driven by an 8.1-per cent drop in the total value of the Kingdom's imports during the Jan-Sep period, standing at about JOD10 billion compared with JOD10.9 billion in the same period of 2015.
