First-round matches to kick off on October 9

Dubai Al Wahda and Al Ain will tussle in Group A, while Al Jazira and Al Ahli will battle it out in Group B in the Etisalat Cup during the new season.

The 12 teams participating in the UAE Football League (UFL) were drawn into two groups by former national players Hassan Mohammad Polo and Salem Johar, yesterday.

Bani Yas, Al Dhafrah, Al Nasr and new entrants Dubai Club will be the remaining four teams in Group A, while the second group will include Al Shabab, Al Wasl, Sharjah and Ittihad Kalba.

The first round matches of the Etisalat Cup will be held from October 9.

Group A: Al Wahda, Al Ain, Bani Yas, Al Dhafrah, Al Nasr, Dubai Club

Group B: l Jazira, Al Shabab, Al Wasl, Al Ahli, Sharjah club, Ittihad Kalba
