DAMASCUS, (SANA) - Deputy Chairman of National Progressive Front (NPF) Suleiman Qaddaah on Tuesday called for consolidating the way of dialogue, interaction and national responsibility in relations among parties with each other.
"Dialogue and interaction among parties will deepen democratic work and promote the participation of people in the citizens' affairs, issues of nation, continuation of development process and protection of homeland's security and stability," Qaddah said in a speech at the opening session of annual meeting of NPF leaderships held under the patronage of President Bashar al-Assad.
"Syria, under the leadership of President al-Assad, is committed to the Arab solidarity, Arab joint action and the Arab rights," Qaddah added.
He said that Syria will never relinquish its legitimate rights and it is still adhered to the liberation of the occupied Syrian Golan.
"Syria seeks the achievement of just and comprehensive peace in the region based on international relevant resolutions and the land-for-peace formula... Syria rejects occupation of any Arab land and supports the Arab legitimate resistance against occupation," NPF Deputy Chairman noted.
He went on to say that Syria backs the struggle of the Palestinians, calling for boosting their national unity to liberate their lands and build their independent state with Jerusalem as its capital.
"Syria always calls for the unity of Iraq, supporting national dialogue and political process in the country to achieve national independence and regain security and stability," Qaddah said.
On Lebanon, Qaddah reiterated support to the Lebanese people, showing commitment to Lebanon's security and stability.
He pointed out to the country's permanent efforts to combat corruption and loss, provide job opportunities to the youth and improve the standard living of citizens.
The NPF 3-day meetings discuss issues related to the political and economic situation as well as the parties' work and cooperation.
Assistant Secretary General of al-Baath Arab Socialist Party Abdullah al-Ahmar, Vice President Farouk al-Shara, Assistant Regional Secretary of the Party Mohammad Said Bkhetan, Speaker Mahmoud al-Abrash and Premier Mohammad Naji Ottri attended the meeting.
