ABU DHABI, 3 oct, 05 (WAM) - The third annual Gulf LeadershipForum will be held at the Emirates Palace on April 16 and 17under the patronage of Sheikh Nahyan bin MubarakAl Nahyan, UAE Minister of Education.

This was announced by Mohammed Omar Abdullah, Director Generalof Abu Dhabi, at a press conference held at the ADCCI premisestoday. The press conference was also attended by Dr. Jamal AbdullaAl Daidje, General Secretary of the Leadership Forum Mr. Abdullahsaid that this significant conference would be attended by delegationsrepresenting the six GCC countries, including ministers of economy,finance, industry, communications and health, according to anADCCI statement.

Besides, heads of the central of information and communicationbodies of these countries, Chief Executive Officers of banks,financial and investment organisations would take part in theconference, he said.

"The Gulf Leadership Forum is seeking to prepare and mould theskills of a young generation of Gulf leaders with a strategicvision and a constructive and clear-cut ideology that might beable to deal with the latest economic and political developmentstaking place in the regional and international arena, and alsowith the changing era of information and globalization", Abdullah added.

He said that the Forum had won special significance by blendingprinciples and experiences and by organizing several events likeseminars dealing with the prevailing situation and the developmentprocess in the gulf region based on a carefully adopted plan.

"These seminars and events also dealt with the developments inthe fields of information technology and their transfer and applicationin the Gulf countries, considering the region's particular needsand requirements," Abdullah pointed out.

He also said that the Forum would also focus on the administrativeleadership both in the public and private sectors of the Gulfcountries with a view to bridge the gap between the older andthe younger generation of leaders to face the challenges of thefuture and improve their performance and caliber. Such an approachwould improve the efficiency and productivity of the domesticinstitutions, he added.

Addressing the press conference, Dr. Daije said that Forum wouldcome out with a vision and a mission to build a community, enjoyinga distinct position in knowledge and information and in all otherpossible spheres.

He said that the Forum would be graced by the presence of severaldistinguished leaders like the UAE Ministers of Finance and Industryand Education, Kuwaiti Ministers of Communications and Health,Qatari Minister of State for Economy, the Saudi CommunicationsMinister, Minister of National Economy of the Sultanate of Omanand the Head of the Central Information Authority of Bharain.
