TEHRAN - The Iranian airliner Mahan Air and the Thai Airways International have agreed on establishing daily direct flights between Tehran and Bangkok.
"This is a move in line with the expansion of trade ties between the two countries," the Iranian ambassador to Bangkok Mohsen Pak-Ayeen said on Monday. The Thai airline has also agreed to help Mahan Air set up flights to the Far East and Asia Pacific, the Iranian official added. Dusseldorf in Germany, Manchester in the UK, and Dubai on the Persian Gulf are currently the final destinations of flights between Tehran and Bangkok. "We have recently facilitated the visa issuing procedure for Thais who want to travel to Iran," Pak-Ayeen claimed.
