SOHAR -- International engineering and consultancy services firm Tebodin & Partner LLC officially opened its new office building in Sohar last week, underlining its ambitions for growth amid Oman's rapidly diversifying economy. Tebodin's Area Director Middle East, André van Drunen, together with Managing Director of Tebodin & Partner, Salim al Kindy, presided over the traditional ribbon-cutting ceremony at the new premises. The new Sohar office, which can accommodate around 80 -- 100 employees, is strategically located near SOHAR Port and Free Zone, and Sohar Industrial Estate. Fully equipped with all of the facilities necessary to support a state-of-the-art engineering office, the new premises also enjoys full ICT connectivity with Tebodin's offices in Muscat and its international network.
Salim al Kindy commented: "The rapid expansion and related developments in the Sultanate of Oman have triggered our drive to diversify our services from predominantly oil & gas related engineering to a more all-round technical services provider. Next to the oil & gas market in Oman, we are also rendering services to other market segments, like industrial buildings, infrastructure, environmental consultancy, metals, food & beverage, logistics, (petro)chemicals and pharmaceuticals." Given the growing demand for services of this nature in Sohar, and in the framework of Tebodin's strategy to be always close to its clients and stakeholders, it was only inevitable that Tebodin decided to open a presence in this key region of Oman. It was also in line with the company's commitment to its employees, who now include more and more Omani nationals, he added.
Tebodin (part of the engineering and services company Bilfinger SE) is an international engineering & consultancy company, operating with around 5,000 employees from 50 offices in 25 countries.
