A senior Pakistani journalist said here Wednesday Syria is being punished for supporting Hezbollah against Zionist regime.
Talking to IRNA Asma Shirazi said that foreign elements are playing negative role in the Arab state.
The analyst opined that dialogue among opposition and the government is the only solution to restore peace in Syria.
She was of the view that foreign interference in countries is not permitted in any international law. "It is a gross human rights violation," she noted.
The journalist said that Syrian nation must be allowed to solve their crisis; however, she said that opposition groups should not become part of any international conspiracy against their state. "Definitely foreign elements are playing role in Syria," said the analyst.
Asma Shirazi added that it is the desire of western powers to destabilize Syria because the country is always giving strong opposition to Zionist regime.
To a question she said that western powers will not be able to accomplish their designs in Syria. "This is being done to protect the Zionist regime," she noted.
The analyst said that the geographical position of Syria is very important in the Middle East. "Iran, Iraq, Syria and Lebanon form a very power Muslim chain," said Asma Shirazi.
Senior Pakistani journalist said that United Nations has become a silent spectator on the crisis of Syria. "The organization should come forward and play its due role in restoring peace in Syria," she added.
Asma Shirazi called upon the Muslim states to unite against the conspiracies of West. "Unfortunately some Muslim countries are forwarding western agendas," opined the journalist.
The analyst said that Iran being a major Muslim power can play a vital role in brining stability in Syria.
Syria has been experiencing unrest since March 2011 with organized attacks by well-armed gangs against the Syrian police forces and the border guards being reported across the country.
Thousands of people, including members of the security forces, have been killed, when some protest rallies turned into armed clashes.
The government blames outlaws, saboteurs, and armed terrorist groups for the deaths, stressing that the unrest is being orchestrated from abroad.
