Starcom has made a number of changes to its management across the regional network. Media director Philip Jabbour will take on the new role of group director, Marketing and New Business development, responsible for marketing throughout EMEA.
Hisham Tannir is promoted to managing director, Starcom Regional Markets, covering KSA, Egypt, Levant and Kuwait. Tarek Daouk assumes the role of managing director, Starcom Dubai, with Alex Saber taking on additional responsibilities in the role of group trading director along with his current regional managing director role for MediaVest.
Karine Barakat leaves the Dubai office to become general manager, Starcom Egypt.
Matt Blackborn, chief executive officer, Publicis Groupe Media, said the appointments would build on recent successes: "The local and regional teams here have been instrumental in generating success stories from the MENA network that have been commended and at times used to build our business in more developed Western Europe and North American markets."
Starcom MediaVest Group is the largest brand communications group in the region, and a wholly owned subsidiary of Publicis Groupe. Clients include GM, Kraft, MasterFoods, P&G and Saudi Telecom. Recent wins include Aer Lingus, Diageo and O2.
